Explanation: First angle projection means the object is placed in first quadrant and the top view of the object is below the front view so the bottom view is above the front view. This is obtained as the bottom view is viewed from bottom and so is projected upwards.

What first angle projection shows?

First Angle Orthographic Projection. Orthographic Projection is a way of drawing an 3D object from different directions. Usually a front, side and plan view are drawn so that a person looking at the drawing can see all the important sides.

How are the views arranged in first angle projection?

In first angle projection the views in the directions of arrows B, C, D and E are arranged with reference to the front view as follows: The view from B is placed on the right, The view from C is placed on the left, The view from D is placed underneath, The view from E is placed above.

Which of the following are the appropriate views of the given object in a first angle projection?

Which of the following are the appropriate views of the given object in a first angle projection? Explanation: In first-angle projections, we have object positioned in first-quadrant between two principal planes. Here, the front view, top view, and the left-hand side view are enough to require the object completely. 9.

Which symbol represent the 1st angle projection?

Note that the drawing title block contains a symbol showing the top view and side view of a cone. This symbol indicates the projection method used in the drawing. When the large end of the cone in the section view is closest to the top view, this is known as first angle projection.

1st Angle Projection

Where the rear view is placed in 1st angle projection?

View from the rear (rear view) may be placed on the left or on the right of the front view as found convenient.

What is the angle of projection?

(i) Angle of projection - It is the angle with the surface with which the projectile is projected. The maximum range angle of the projectile should be 45⁰. This application is used for various purposes to send the particle to maximum distance.

What is angle projection in drawing?

First angle projection is one of the methods used for orthographic projection drawings and is approved internationally except the United States. In this projection method, the object is placed in the first quadrant and is positioned in front of the vertical plane and above the horizontal plane.

How do you read first angle drawings?

In third angle, what you see from the right would be drawn on the right. In first angle, the view from the right would be projected through and drawn on the left. The views in first angle are depicted as if you were looking at an x-ray of the object.

Which of the following is correct for 1st angle projection?

If an object is placed in 1st quadrant such that one of the surfaces of object is coinciding with horizontal plane, what is the correct position of views from the following? Explanation: In the first angle projection the projections of object is taken by placing object in 1st quadrant.

What is first angle projection in technical drawing?

First-angle projection: In this type of projection, the object is imagined to be in the first quadrant. Because the observer normally looks from the right side of the quadrant to obtain the front view, the objects will come in between the observer and the plane of projection.

What is a projection symbol?

The projection symbol used to represent third angle projection shows what you would see when looking at the cone from the left, drawn sitting to the left of the drawing of the front face of the cone. Third angle projection symbol. AS 1100 recommends the use of third angle projection.

What is the position of 1st quadrant?

The 1st quadrant is in which position? Explanation: The position of reference planes will be similar to quadrants in x, y plane co-ordinate system. As the 1st quadrant lies above the x-axis and in front of the y-axis here also the 1st quadrant is above H.P, in front of V.P.

What is the symbol of First and Third angle Projection?

The third angle symbol is shown at the top left of Figure 1. The first angle symbol is shown at the top left of Figure 2. Each symbol represents the views of a cone from that angle view. Both third and first angle symbols show the circular top view of a cone and the right view of the cone.

Which standards organization uses 1st angle projection?

Drawing Standards

See the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) publication ASME Y14-3-2003. Some countries other than the United States use first-angle projection. See ISO publication 128-30.

What is the difference between 1st and 3rd angle projection?

In third-angle projection, the view of a component is drawn next to where the view was taken. In first-angle projection, the view is drawn on the other end of the component, at the opposite end from where the view was taken.

What is projection types of projection?

Projection are defined as mapping of three-dimensional points to a two-dimensional plane. There are two type of projection parallel and perspective. 1. ... Parallel Projection use to display picture in its true shape and size. When projectors are perpendicular to view plane then is called orthographic projection.

What is the formula of angle of projection?

The maximum height achieved by a projectile ignoring the air resistance is given by HM=U2Sin2 θ 2g... (1) where U is the initial velocity, θ is the angle of projection and g is the acceleration due to gravity. The horizontal distance covered by the projectile i.e. range is given by, R=U2Sin2 θ g... (2).

What is 2nd and 4th angle projection?

In Mechanical Engineering, drawings are made either in first angle projection or in third angle projection. ... Therefore 2nd angle projection system is not used. Similarly when object is placed in 4th quadrant both top and front view will overlap. Therefore fourth angle projection is also not used.

What is mean by projection in physics?

b : the process or technique of reproducing a spatial object upon a plane or curved surface or a line by projecting its points also : a graph or figure so formed. 2 : a transforming change.

What is rear view in drawing?

The back view can also be referred to as the rear view. To produce an accurate drawing of an object, it is seldom necessary to show all six views. A working drawing typically shows three views of an object, which is sufficient to describe its shape and give all the required dimensions.

What is projection projector and plane of projection?

These lines used for projecting the object are 'projectors'. The plane to which the object is projected is the 'plane of projection'. All projectors are parallel to one another and perpendicular to the plane of projection. The image or view obtained on the plane is the 'projection'.
